Mums & Bubs
Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Absolutely. The mums and bubs yoga classes are designed for all levels, including beginners. I provide gentle guidance and modifications to make sure every mum feels comfortable and supported, whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner.

  • I usually recommend between 6-8 weeks and 18 months, however this will depend on how mum is feeling. Postpartum recovery takes time and is different for everybody, listen to your body and if you are unsure please talk to your health care provider about when to start.

  • Bring everything you need for you and your baby to set up and be as comfortable as possible.  The studio provides mats, bolsters and yoga blocks.

  • Please don't worry. I promise your baby won't be the only one. It is expected that throughout the class you may need to pause and attend to your baby's needs. It is a safe and welcoming space for you to do whatever you need to, to ensure your baby is cared for.

  • If you want to include your baby in the session, you are welcome to. I don't cue engaging with the babies, because usually they are all doing something different. My suggestion is for you to feel into your motherly instinct and allow this to guide your interaction and involvement with your baby throughout the class.

Kind words

“Both my baby and I really enjoyed Melissa's classes. As well as creating a lovely community of like minded people I had space each week to tune in to myself.

I love the way the classes are made for mum first and foremost. I highly recommend her thoughtful sequencing built for all stages of recovery post birth. And my little one got very excited every time we arrived at the studio”

— Laura, 2024.

“Mums and baby yoga with Melissa was just what I needed to inspire movement during the early phase of postpartum healing. She is knowledgeable and passionate about women's health and wellness.

Melissa helps you feel confident and comfortable in your practice while providing various techniques to strengthen and restore your body.”

— Julie, 2024.

“Melissa has created a nurturing and inclusive yoga practice which helped me reconnect with my body after having my second baby.

As a Mum, she instinctively understands the physical challenges of having a baby and how mothers have so little time for themselves. As a yoga teacher, she supports healing and strengthening in a safe and holistic way.

I absolutely loved her class and highly recommend it to all!”

— Tammy, 2024.
